About
William Barley is a Ph.D. candidate in the Media, Technology, and Society program in Northwestern University's School of Communication.
Barley is interested in how individuals use technology and knowledge representations to support organizing, particularly for the exchange and sharing of technical knowledge. Prior to coming to Northwestern he spent two years studying automobile culture as a researcher at General Motors Research & Design. Barley holds a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from University of California, San Diego.
