Northwestern University

Faculty Member, Philosophy

About

My work is primarily in epistemology, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of language.

In epistemology my main interests are in testimony (and social epistemology more generally), reliabilism, internalism/externalism, and self-knowledge.  In philosophy of mind, I am interested in attitude individuation, intentionality, and the relations between language and thought. In philosophy of language I have worked on reference and meaning, the nature of linguistic communication, and the semantics of speech and attitude reports.
