Graduate Student, Philosophy
About
I came to Northwestern from St. John's College in Annapolis where I spent four years studying selections from the Western Cannon. At Northwestern, I am narrowing my pursuits to the philosophy of language. I am particularly interested in the relationship between language and thought. Other interests include sorting through the confusing exchange between aesthetics and ethics (or what is beautiful and what is good). It should come as no surprise that I not only find Kant, Frege, Husserl, and Wittgenstein fascinating, but also Plato, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Habermas, and even Cicero.
