About
David Calder is a doctoral candidate in the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama (IPTD) at Northwestern University. He received his BA in French Literature with a minor in Literature & Psychology from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. His research interests include street and site-specific theatre and performance; space, place, and geography; radical and popular theatre; urban studies; work and labor studies; French and Francophone theatre; and theatre historiography.
He is currently completing dissertation research in France with support from a Fulbright research grant. He is also the 2011-2012 president of the Graduate Student Caucus of the American Society for Theater Research.
